How To Store Nail Polish

By Sue Doenim

You are ready to apply nail polish to your nails, you grab the bottle of nail polish to get started, only you find out that the nail polish has dried up.

What happened?

The solvents in the nail polish have evaporated because of improper storage between uses, and all you have left is a thick gel that you can't use.

After each use, clean the neck of the nail polish bottle with nail polish remover and twist the cap on tightly.

Store the bottle of nail polish in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it again. Remove the nail polish from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature before using.
