How To Remove A Tree Stump From Your Landscape By Sue Doenim There are cheaper methods of tree stump removal than hire a professional with a stump grinder to remove the stump. While the methods of stump removal I will tell you about are slower than the professional method, they are just as effective. Bore holes straight down into the tree stump with a long drill bit and pour regular table salt into the holes. The salt will dry the tree stump up at the roots and greatly speed up the decomposing process. Add more salt as needed. Another method for tree stump removal is by a slow burn of the underground roots. If you use an outdoor grill with charcoal briquettes, when you have finished grilling, pour the hot charcoal briquettes on the tree stump. The tree stump will start burning below the ground and burn the roots. This method producing faster tree stump removal than the salt.

I use sea salt to rinse my digestive system ~ I will try this and sea salt 2 C which one breaks down a tree stump the faster.
