How To Make Granita, Refreshing Summer Cold Treat By Sue Doenim Making granita is usually a time consuming process that keeps you tied to the kitchen for a few hours, but this easy granita recipe can get you in and out in a flash. To make this easy version of granita, freeze your favorite juice in an ice cube tray. Once the juice cubes are frozen, place the frozen cubes in your food processor and pulse until the cubes turn into little frozen chards. Spoon the frozen juice chards in a pretty dessert cup or place in an air tight container and freeze until ready to be served. This recipe short-cuts the time involved in the normal making of granita, in which you have to scrap the ice crystals off the juice as it is freezing. It's good bet that no one will be able to tell the difference between your scraping frozen juice for hours or pulsing it for seconds in a food processor.
