Here are some tips for making your new clay pot look old quickly. If you already have old clay pots with patina and moss on them, take your new clay pot, invert it, and set an old clay pot on top of it. Mist both clay pots with water daily, and in a few days the moss will spread from the old clay pot to the new clay pot. If you don't have any old clay pots, wet your new clay pot and roll it around in the dirt. Place your plant in it and mist the clay pot daily with water, that will speed up the natural patina process.
