Houseplants Clean The Air In Homes And Offices

No matter how clean you keep the interior of your home or office, there is still indoor air pollution. Since most of us spend the majority of our time indoors, subjected to a host of indoor air pollutants, they can be the root cause of many allergies and illnesses. Certain houseplants clean the air in your home or office, greatly reducing the air pollutants that we breathe in, reducing the risk of allergy attacks or other illnesses.
The Boston fern, Peace Lily and Lady Palm are three of the more popular, easy to grow houseplants that clean the air in our homes and offices. Everyday household products, like paper towels, garbage bags or the carpeting in homes and offices emit air pollution. The indoor air pollution is absorbed by these houseplants through their leaves, then biodegraded and converted into food sources for the microbes in the houseplants roots. All this time we thought of houseplants as merely part of our interior decor', now we realize they are much more than that, actually working hard for human benefit by cleaning the air. |
