Homemade Starch Recipe, How To Make Cheap, Organic Starch For Ironing By Sue Doenim You can make your own starch at home with this easy, cheap and organic starch recipe. All you need is corn starch, water and a spray bottle. Mix one tablespoon of corn starch and one pint of water and mix until the corn starch is dissolved. Place starch mixture into a spray bottle and use like any other starch. Store the homemade starch in the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature before using. Shake well before each use. This homemade starch does not produce as fine of a mist as aerosol can starches, but it is an organic starch that only costs pennies to make and will deliver the same ironing results as aerosol can starch.
