Help Garden Seeds Sprout Faster With This Tip
By Sue Doenim
Certain garden seeds sprout slowly, like onions, beets and parsley. To help these slow sprouting garden seeds sprout faster, place a strip of burlap over them after you have planted them in the garden soil. The burlap will create a warm environment for the seeds and allows moisture to get through to the garden soil, enabling the garden seeds to sprout faster. If you place burlap over your garden seeds, check under it daily. Remove the burlap at the first sign of the garden seeds sprouting. Leaving the burlap on the garden seeds, even for one day after they have sprouted, will result in leggy garden plants. |
