Green Pest Control For Garden Tomatoes
By Sue Doenim
Garden pests of all types can be kept away from your garden tomatoes by planting certain pungent herbs and flowers among your tomato plants for green pest control. Onions, garlic, chives, mint, rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano and marigolds are the most common plants used as green pest control. Plant any or all of these herbs and flowers in garden rows next to your tomato plants, or make your garden more interesting by planting green pest control herbs and flowers interspersed among your tomato plants. Onions, garlic and oregano enhance the flavor of garden tomatoes when planted next to the tomato plant. These pungent herbs and flowers not only work as green pest control for your garden, they produce fresh herbs for cooking and the marigolds will beautify the landscape. |
