Feed Birds With Stale Bread By Sue Doenim Don't throw away your stale bread, feed the birds with it! The easiest way to feed the birds with stale bread is to simply tear it into pieces and throw it out in the yard, but if you want to go an extra step in the bird feeding process, use a little peanut butter on the stale bread. Smear a little peanut butter on the stale bread slice and place them into your suet basket. A wide variety of birds will be attracted to this delightful treat. Depending on the size of your suet cake holder, it might hold more than one slice of stale bread. You can make the birds a peanut butter sandwich by smearing the outsides of the stale bread with peanut butter. It's good way to use stale bread and feed the birds at the same time.
