Attract Bluebirds By Combining Bird House With Bird Feeder By Sue Doenim Bluebirds are a delight to watch and but are somewhat finicky about where they choose to nest. You can double your chances of attracting Bluebirds by combining your bird house and bird feeder with this neat trick. Attach a small plastic cup to the top of your bird house and place mealworms in the plastic cup. Bluebirds enjoy a live meal and the wriggling mealworms will attract their attention and keep them returning for more. In the process, hopefully they will choose your bird house to nest in. Mealworms can be purchased at your local pet shop, bird supply store or fishing bait store. Once the Blue birds have discovered their mealworm meal and start returning, you can add a few raisins to the plastic cup for an added treat.
